Holds my hair well.
Better than the one I was using, strong enough to spike my hair and give it lift. My hair likes to lay flat and part where it wants to but this powder sorts it out. The smell is light but pleasant and it’s easy to use. A bit of hairspray and it stays put all day.

Texturising Powder
Prior to using this product, I’ve only ever used the equivalent product from got2be. I’ve never had any real issues that has made me want to switch product from it previously.Upon opening this product, you are hit with the strong scent. It smells good, and slightly on the masculine side. No issue with putting this in my hair.When it came to using it, I followed my initial experience and put some powder into the palm of my hands ready to finger through my hair. This was a bad idea because it immediately becomes sticky in your palms and doesn’t allow for good application. Instead I switched to pouring it on my hair and combing through. This was much better and easier to do.Although it makes your hair white on initial application, it quickly spreads and becomes invisible to the naked eye. Almost instantly, you can feel significant hold in your hair to the touch, without your head feeling sticky or matted.The strong of this powder is strong. You don’t really need to apply anything else to your hair, unless for final finish. I used a clay on top of the powder without any detriment to the hold.The only problem I have with this product is that it has such a good hold, it can be hard to wash out completely. I find that I can get most of the product out, but my hair will have a slight matted appearance and feel for the day after.Not an issue for my adhoc use, but could become problematic if used everyday.In terms of value, I though it was quite expensive. But upon comparing it to the current price of got2be’s equivalent, I’ve realised that you get more product, for only a bit more money. From this perspective, it works out quite good value for a good product!

best for short spiky hair
I expected this to be rather like the old-fashioned dry shampoos – a fine powder that de-greases your hair in between washes and brushes out to leave soft matt hair.The main similarity is that it does take the shine out of your hair leaving a matt finish. However, this powder is “heavy” and makes your hands and hair feel a bit “sticky”. I think it is probably best suited to short spiky hair rather than long sleek hair. If you have a springy hairstyle and it needs a lift before an evening out, I think this would be ideal.Not so good for those with long fine shiny hair.

Weird to get used to, but a game-changer for hair styling!
I’ve always been a fan of unconventional hair products, and this matt finish texturing hair styling powder is a true game-changer. Unlike gels or waxes, its talc-like consistency may feel a bit strange at first, but the results are nothing short of amazing.I previously tried a different brand, which I liked, but it left my hair feeling like glue and required a thorough wash after each use. This powder offers a similar effect but with a lighter hold, which is perfect for my needs. I can style my hair for a dry, matte look all day and still run my fingers through it without any sticky surprises.The only minor drawback is the absence of a noticeable scent. While it’s not a deal-breaker, I did enjoy the fragrances of other powders I’ve tried. Nevertheless, I’m sold on this product and won’t be returning to gels, waxes, or putties anytime soon. Powder is the way to go!

An alternative to wax
Product worked as advertised, just sprinkle some on your hair/roots and work in to the desired style. The hold for me on my hair was medium/firm, I didn’t notice any ‘volume’ increase though, but it kept in place throughout the day. It did feel like I had used wax on my hair at the end of the day and took a bit of scrubbing to get it out when washing.

Nice fragrance and holds
It holds decently and instantly get absorbed, it’s not a super tough hold but it’s enough to mould a style and keep it like that. The fragrance is nice too and it’s not overpowering it’s just enough to complement.

For reference; my hair is very thick, which people may think means that it’s got body and texture already – but no. It means that my hair just hangs limply – curlers and such like won’t take.To use; I simply dry my hair, tip my head upside down and sprinkle the roots with 24 Hour Body Sky High Plump Powder and massage in into my hair for noticeable volume to my hair. That’s it – no tricks or additional styling needed. It also gives my hair a matt texture that lasts and it smells great too.I’m not sure if it’d work on long hair due to the weight of the hair [maybe it’d be OK on longer hair with layers], but I’d definitely recommend this product for mid-length and shorter styles.

Smells good, average performance
Surprised that this stated it was unscented as my favorite thing about the product is the smell – really fresh clean smell like you get after visiting the barbers. Ive had similar products where the instructions say to put the powder in your hands, rub together then apply to hair – this suggests applying directly to hair/roots.Hold was ok but not great, easy to style hair. Not noticeable in hair, but did feel sticky throughout day and wanted to wash it out before bed and wasn’t the easiest to wash out. Probably would not use again.

A little goes a long way
I usually use gel on my sons hair but decided to try this powder, I put a bit to much on the first time a little really does go a long way. My son has thick hair but always looks flat but this powder adds texture and can manoeuvre and shape the hair with ease also don’t feel greasy and sticky afterwards .

Performed decent enough, and smelled nice, but…
The media could not be loaded.
I have this thing about products not being full to the top, this when opened up had a lot of space to fill it up, it’s not as good as my favourite Totex that actually fills to the top thus better value. However I will say this product does smell nice, and did give hair some texture, had to use a lot though to get it to texturize my hair is long, this won’t last this way, unless it was filled to the top. It is true to the name semi matte, not completely dry looking but well semi hence the name.

It works. But its not for me.
It’s a hard one for me. I’ve never been somebody great at styling their hair.I usually have shorter hair and do short spiky gell style.I tried the product and it does work I’d say it’s more similar to using something like clay.Just sprinkle it on and work it in and you can style your hair it does do what it says on the tin.If you are someone who is experienced at styling their hair using more matt products and clays then this styling powder might be a great option for you. It’s also easier to work in than when I have used clay-based products in the past which is a plus.For me personally though. I’ve never been great at using similar textured products and this won’t be a replacement for me but that’s not a fault of the product.As far as washing the product out. It’s not as easy as gel-based products and I’d say again it’s similar to clay-based products. You might still get a slight texture after a wash. But nothing out of the usual.So at the end of the day can I recommend? If you are experienced and use similar non-gell products, sure you will have a good time. If you are like me and struggle with non-gell products then this won’t change that for you. However, their description is accurate so if that appeals to you you should have a good time.

Great for styling, but didn’t see much difference in volume
The powder works great for styling, it even helps keep my baby hairs in place when my hair was up.Its really easy to use – Just shake some on and use a brush/your fingers to work it into your hair. It worked great for styling, however I didn’t notice much difference in volume. I think this may be due to the texture… Other styling/volumising powders I’ve used have been quite dry & leave the hair feeling ‘fluffy’, however this had more of a clay-feel, and left my hair looking quite oily. I think this weighed my thin hair down, rather than volumise it. I imagine it would work better on shorter hair.Overall, it’s not bad for the price. But I would say it’s more of a styling powder than volumising.

High Quality, Effective Hair Styling Powder
I’m certainly a fan of hair styling powder, and prefer it to convential gel, that is more liquid based. This is because it is really easy to apply, by sprinkling on the hair, and then can be rubbed in, perfect for if you like to create a messy look. Powder also tends to give more of matte finish, that is less shiny and appears more natural, whilst still providing a hold that is sufficent to put up with the elements and day to day movements.This powder is one of the better ones that I have tried, as it has a nice scent, and also holds hair in place effectively, for a long duration of time. I’ve worn this during a long day of work, and even by the end of the day, my hair is looking good and feels fresh. It has not caused me any irration or issues such as an itchy scalp, and feels great on my hair.Finally I have noted some other reviews have commented that the container is not filled all the way to the top, and therefore feel like they are being cheated. It is important to remember that in order for the product to work properly, and to be able to be shaken out of the bottle properly, the container cannot be full to the top, otherwise there is no movement inside. Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that a little of this product will go a long way, and even if you use this everyday, I imagine it will last you a fair amount of time.The product is packaged nicely, and is easy to use. Plus, at £7.90 when reviewed, whilst it is on the upper nd of a lot of people’s budget for a hair product, I personally feel it is worth the investment, over other similar products. If you like to style your hair, or have tried other products such as gel, clay or hairspray and have not been a fan, then I do recommend giving this black red® Texturising Hair Styling Powder a go!

Very good hair powder for men and women
black red Texturising Hair Styling Powder is clearly aimed for men, but it is also suitable for women.The volumising aspect is good. I have very thin hair, and this adds some much needed buffing up to my bonse!It offers a low-medium hold, which is what you’d expect from a powder. I prefer this level of hold, and powder is easy to apply and doesn’t need topping up throughout the day.One of my favourite things about this is that is leaves a matt finish. Gels, moose and waxes all leave a bit of a shine which I’m not a fan of, so this is a welcome addition to my collection.The scent is subtle and sort of…well…generic. It is nothing special, but also doesn’t smell bad so no points either way here.My only downside to this product is that it leaves hair a bit sticky. I’d have rather that it didn’t, but understand that this is probably just how all hair powder works.Overall, good value and good quality hair powder. I’ll be using this often!

Hair styling powder
I use this primarily for volume and it works well. Gives a bit of lift without that horrible hairspray feel. No need for back combing it just creates a good texture which allows the hair to hold a lift. I old recommend

Great smelling and strong hold
It is really easy to apply this powder evenly without applying too much to any one area. It smells great and seems to last all day, even when in contact with a small amount of rain.I would say that less is more as a small amount seems to do the job.

Provides a workable matte finish but..
Very nicely packaged and presented. Super easy to use, just unscrew the lid and shake the required amount directly onto your hair or onto your hands and run through the hair to style. Personally I wasn’t too hot on the finished effect – looked fairly good and the matte finish was as advertised but my hair felt heavy and clumped together, similar to hairspray. Hands get very sticky too. There are some benefits though, should be OK to take on as hand luggage on a weekend away, and don’t have to worry about it leaking everywhere.

Easy to Use & Dose
Tried this product on my son who refuses to do anything with his hair, other than run his hand through it & leaving it in a right mess. He hates to use any kind of gel/product as it’s easy to glob too much on & not distribute it evenly.I had never heard of styling powder before, but thought that it would be worth a try. The bottle is akin to a talcum powder shaker – you just shake a bit onto the area of hair you want to style & then manipulate it with your hand or comb. The white powder then works in & isn’t visible. The finish is a low key matt effect, but with a surprising hold coming from just a powder! It’s a relatively fuss-free task, with minimal effort needed on my sons part & leaves him looking groomed rather than like a scruff! Happy son, happy mum.There isn’t a great deal of powder in the bottle, but only a small shake is needed, so this will last a long time. It smells great too. Well worth a try if you’re fed up of the ‘usual’ grooming products.

Smells Nice
I like that this product is cruelty free. The packaging is oversized, which could be fixed by adding more powder or reducing the size of the pot it comes in. The powder itself is easy to apply and gives some texture to the hair. The hold is good and it smells nice! Easy to wash out as stated.

Decent hair powder
